- Male Taiwan scimitar babbler. Unfortunately I do not have much backstory on this bird, I purchased him a year ago from someone in Chicago who got him from someone in California. I am not sure of age or origin. It is a definite male base on vocalizations characteristic of males of this species. I have been unable to find a female or even another male either at home or abroad, so he needs a home as a pet or as a display animal. He is not hand-tame but is very calm. Eats a diet of Mazuri softbill pellets, insects (prefers live such as mealworms, waxworms, and dubia roaches, but will eat dried as well), and fruits/vegetables such as blueberries, cherries, papaya, mango, green beans, peas, carrots, kale, broccoli. He is a mimic and has learned the repertoire of my other birds. Impressively smart bird and I'm not just saying that. Will ship via DELTA ONLY at buyer's expense (flat rate of $185). I will be picky about who he goes to, he deserves a great home! Thanks
