I have one female Pompadour Cotinga (Xipholena punicea) that I would like to sell. I had a pair but the male of the pair drowned in an open water vat that was inadvertantly left uncovered about 2 months ago. I have owned the bird for about 6 months and she has been fed Mazuri Low Iron softbill pellets and Papaya. I have offered other fruits but she ignores everything else. She is currently housed in a 3'X3'X8' cage inside my greenhouse which is a bit of a jungle. The picture is of the pair when I got them.
She is a quiet and easy keeper but I feel that she should be paired up by someone knowledgeable in breeding similar birds.
I believe this is a young bird as there were other males that were just coloring up in the group I chose from, and only this hen.
