At 2-3 years of age they will start laying eggs and 1 egg is equal to 12-18 chicken eggs. They are 1 1/2 months old and will grow about a foot a month until full grown. Girl ostriches are very sweet and kind natured. These girls have been handled daily and hand raised by family,kiddos,dogs,goats, mini pigs and more.
