Hello, I have a DNA female, African pied crow, (Corvus albus) available.
You will rarely see captive born, parent reared pied crows, with new imported bloodlines available for sale.
She is a large beautiful bird., and is a fantastic opportunity for a breeder to freshen up their bloodlines.
Parents are wild caught imports so this bloodline is not closely related to any other in the country (in theory).
This is the first chick they have ever produced together.
THIS IS NOT A PET QUALITY BIRD!
She close banded 2014, 67days old. Flying and feeding on her own.
She was raised entirely by her wild caught parents and has seen humans, but her parents do not like humans so she is in no way tame.
She has been raised in a 10'x8'x8' aviary. The parents are hands off and I steer clear of them and their aviary or they stress out.
She has only been touched by a human twice in her life, once for sexing and collecting her siblings, and once for banding.
She is calm when I come to feed, more so than her parents which fly around trying to get away from me.
She stays put and observes me, and does not act crazy here.
Putting her in a crate and shipping her may change that.
I do NOT believe she would be a good "pet" unless you have a very tame crow she can live with that can teach her not to fear humans.
I would like to see her go to a competent person with a tame crow that she can learn from, or a breeder.
She is young and may be able to be trained by the right person, but I will not make that claim.
Willing to consider trade/partial trade for birds of prey (exotics only), and select hornbill species.
May also be willing to trade her for a male Pied crow, so I can put together another pair.
$1800 SHIPPED, either United or Delta (depends on who flies in to your airport)
PRICE INCLUDES: crate AND shipping, DNA sexing and certificate, and a health cert if requested.
Please do your homework, and buy responsibly, crows are highly intelligent and require lots of time, attention and enrichment to thrive.
You can not just stuff them into a parrot cage, forget about them, and expect them to do well, they require space for exercise and stimulation.
I reserve the right, (and will exercise that right) to refuse to sell to anyone that does not appear to be a suitable home for these special birds.
Again, THIS IS NOT A PET QUALITY BIRD!
I have video and images from my nestcam taken from minute she hatched, until now, to prove she is what I am saying she is.
Serious people only please.
Please contact me via email if you have any questions, or need more info, and we can then make contact by phone if serious.
CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS. You alone are responsible for knowing and obeying your local laws and regulations regarding posession of exotic corvids.
I will not knowingly participate in any illegal activity, or break any laws for you.
SCAMMERS BEWARE!!! "I SCAM BACK!!"
Thank you for your time!
