Our poles are uniquely hand crafted with emphasis on the requirements of each type of bird. Each pole comes with a funk hole (air vent).
Poles are chosen with a soft interior to accommodate excavating birds like Barbets. Primary wood used is Cottonwood, we also use Willow and Sycamore for flat bottom interior poles (Hornbills). The pole shown Barbets/Aracari is made of Cottonwood. Plywood is used for the base and the lid. The lid is hinged and latched to allow for easy inspection. Poles for Hornbills with the lower entrance are also available. We do special orders should you have unusual size requirements.
Poles in the 18 inch - 2 foot range (approximately 20 lbs) are $75.00 + shipping
3 foot poles (approximately 25 lbs) $100.00 + shipping.
Larger poles available.
