Captive adult diet for Piping Guan:
5 grams of grains - corn, milo or hulled oats
40 grams of fruit and berries - plums, dates, figs, cherries, tomatos, avocados, papayas, grapes, mullberries, raspberries, blackberries, elderberries, eugenias, pyracanthas.
5 grams of greens - sow thistle, New Zealand
spinach, swiss chard, comfrey, 7-day hydroponic sprouted oats
5 grams of trout chow
1/2 of a hard-boiled egg
11 grams of bread
7 grams of nuts
5 grams of insects - beetles, mealworms or crickets
5 grams of crushed Oyster shells

Captive diet for chicks:
2 grams of baked custard
1 gram of blueberries
1 gram of insects - mealworms or crickets
1 gram of greens - finely shredded lettuce when birds are older than 7 days
3 grams of Vionate multivitamin powder mixed with custard
