Captive diet for Great Indian Pied Hornbill:
14 grams of fresh ground meat
5 grams of vegetables - diced carrots or cooked sweet potatoes
14 grams of boiled rice
14 grams of berries - mulberries, blackberries, strawberries, eugenias, pyracanthas, bananas, pears, apples, figs, grapes, raisins (soaked in water overnight), dates, tomatoes or 1/2 can fruit cocktail or diced fruits
40 grams of mice or coturnix quail chicks
28 grams of hard-boiled egg or fresh pigeon or quail eggs
12 grams of garden snails
2 grams of wheat germ oil mixed with meat
