- I have a 3 year old female East African Crowned Crane that I am looking to rehome. She is an excellent bird with a great personality. She will eat/play with food out of your hand, dances and very interactive. I purchased her as a 1 year old and it appears that she is VERY imprinted on humans, so much so that she doesn't care for the male I have attempted to pair her with. I think she would make a great bird for someone that wants the interaction, but I cannot guarantee she will actively pair with a male. She did lay 3 eggs this year, but sadly they were infertile.
